AAU and Spring Basketball
Development & Exposure
MINN STARKS is an AAU program that runs alongside Starks Academy. Because the two are intertwined, MINN STARKS is an AAU program that is built on high-end player development, not pooling talent. Program Director, Dyami Starks, based this philosophy on his late father, Will Starks, who is responsible for developing some of the best Northland players of all time (Anders & Bjorn Broman, Johnny Woodard, Chad Calcaterra, Steve Tecker, Joel Lindberg, Taylor Stafford to name a few). Both father and son believed player development was the key to success both on and off the court. MINN STARKS was created to honor that vision.

Having played at the D1 level, Dyami knows every in-and-out of the college basketball recruiting process. He understands the subtleties of the game, what coaches look for and how to play the RIGHT way in order to showcase yourself.

Athletes will have no problem receiving exposure. There is no need to pay for a recruiting platform, an app or a website. Exposure is based on relationships and MINN STARKS the go-to Northern Minnesota program for college coaches.
College Coordinator CJ Osuchukwu has personal access to over 200 schools, coaches, directors and writers across the country. One phone call is all it takes for a MINN STARKS Athlete to be looked at. The player need only show up, play hard, be a great teammate and showcase their ability.
